Winner of the Young Person of the Year Award in the Plunkett Rural Community Business Awards

Naomi Dunbar from Newton Stewart Initiative has been crowned the winner of the Young Person of the Year Award kindly sponsored by Bestway at the 2024 Rural Community Business Awards, hosted by Plunkett UK.
Naomi Dunbar is celebrated for her commitment and enthusiasm, not only to youthwork in Newton Stewart, but also for her work at NSI. Often going above and beyond her duties, she is a huge asset to the charity and the town.
Winners were announced at an awards ceremony held at Coin Street Conference Centre in London on Wednesday 23 October, sponsored by Bestway Wholesale.
Almost 70 individuals from across the UK put forward their community business and individual champions for the eight categories in this year’s awards.
Gemma Sills, Plunkett UK’s Engagement Manager, says, “It has been a great joy to recognise and celebrate all of the finalists at this Rural Community Business Awards. Each one is truly dedicated to making a difference in their community, and having a considerable impact on the lives of local people in a variety of different ways. Well done to all of this year’s winners – their award is very much deserved!”
