Launching on May 20th 2024 is the Here to Help Fayre taking place in Vibe 75, Victoria Street, Newton Stewart. A variety of groups and organisations who support people in the town will be coming together under one roof. Newton Stewart Initiative have teamed up with No-One Dies Alone (NODA), the NHS Public Health Improvement Team and Machars Home Team to bring you this one day event. Listening Ear will be offering refreshments on the day.
Why come along?
As a rural town Newton Stewart has limited services and access to services. Finding out who these groups are and how they can help can sometimes be difficult. We wanted to bring a number of third sector charities and organisations together in one space in Newton Stewart to share with residents what groups and services are out there to support them when going through a difficult time or when they feel alone.
Who is this for?
The day is for anyone who wants to find out what support is available in and around town. Whether this is for yourself, a loved one, a colleague or a relative. Most of the organisations are run by teams of friendly volunteers who have mostly had first hand experience of certain life situations and have got through it, and now want to give something back
